Bio

Mimi Kokai was born in Hungary in 1955.  She attended teacher’s college in her native Hungary and instilled a love of art in her preschool students.  After living in Germany for a while, Mimi emigrated to Canada with her family in 1982.  She didn’t embark on her own personal artistic journey until 1994 when she attended OCADU and graduated with honors in 1998 in Material Art and Design, Ceramics.

She currently resides in Toronto with her husband and cat.
